Steven Stratton, PT has been a physical therapist since he graduated from Baylor University with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 1976. He was in the US Army and spent 10.5 years in the US Army. He received his certification in athletic training in September 1982.
He left the US Army in September 1985 and opened a private practice in San Antonio, Texas. When he left the Army, he was an assistant professor in the US Army/Baylor University Physical Therapy program located at the Academy of Health Sciences on Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He started Alamo Physical Therapy Resources, Inc. in 1983 and sold the corporation to Matrix Rehabilitation in 1997 and worked for them until 2000. He then worked at Stratton Rehabilitation Clinic for six years, taking over as President in 2003 and resigning in December 2007. Thus, the formation of Steven Stratton Physical Therapy, Inc (SSPT) in January 2008. Steven Stratton has been working at the same location since March 2003, and recently moved one building over in May 2009.

Steven Stratton has been married to Nancy Stratton since 1972, and they have five children: Brik, Benjamin, Brittany, Breanna, and Brock. They currently have 16 grandchildren (with two more on the way). Steven and Nancy are very active in their church and Steven has worked as an adult scout leader with the Boy Scout of America for over 25 years. His hobbies include playing with his grandchildren, working out, and traveling to visit family.

His awards include graduating Cum Laude with a BS degree from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1972, playing football at BYU, receiving First Team Academic All American honors NCAA in football in 1972, graduating with honors with a Master of Physical Therapy from Baylor University in 1976, and graduating with honors with a PhD in Corrective Physical Education and Rehabilitation from BYU in 1981. He also has received recognition in the Texas Physical Therapy Association being awarded the Ruby Decker Award as the best physical therapist in Texas in 2003. He also is a licensed athletic trainer (ATC) with the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
